As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced full cycle Bookkeeper to join our team at our Hawthorne, FL location.
Position Overview:
The full cycle Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in managing accounting transactions and inputting data into the accounting system from invoicing customers to adjusting journal entries for closings.
Reporting to the Accounting Director and onsite General Manager, the specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial data into the accounting software related to invoices, payments, and general ledger work.
This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Financial Record Keeping Duties:
1.
Generate accurate and timely customer invoices, ensuring that all relevant information, such as product details, pricing, and terms, are correctly reflected on invoices.
2.
Accurately allocate and apply customer payments to the appropriate invoices, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reflected in the accounting system.
3.
Receive and record customer payments, applying them accurately to customer accounts in the accounting system.
4.
Monitor outstanding customer balances and actively follow up on overdue payments, maintaining a professional and courteous approach while working to resolve outstanding issues and minimize overdue accounts.
5.
Conduct regular analysis of accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts, track trends, and recommend appropriate actions to management, such as collections or credit holds.
6.
Manage the accounts payable process, including verifying and processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors.
7.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that the company's financial records align with bank statements.
8.
Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable performance, including collections, aging, and bad debt reserves, and present findings to management.
Additional duties:
1.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and customer service, to resolve any disputes or discrepancies related to customer invoices or payments, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining positive customer relationships.
2.
Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers, assessing credit risks and establishing credit limits in coordination with the credit department.
3.
Continuously review and improve accounts receivable processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction, identifying automation opportunities and implementing best practices.
Misc:

Must have experience working with Excel.
2.
Prior Bookkeeping experience required.
