Performs quality assurance tests to ensure the quality of products and that they conform to established company standards.
These tests will include, but not be limited to the following:
Gradation/Sieve Analysis, Sand Equivalency, Colorimetric, and Refractory of Heavy Minerals.
Job Duties:
Collect samples from Plants for QC Testing Perform analysis on products, such as weighing, sieve analysis, etc.
Record analysis results as requested Maintain/control database of QC Testing results Work with production staff to assure specified requirements are being met Complete Sieve/Sample request made by sales staff Assist in training production personnel on visual and functional testing procedures Participate in internal and external quality audits Responsible for lab safety Requirements:
Job Requirements:
Must be proficient in math skills Must be knowledgeable in computer software-Lotus, Excel, and Word Must be detail oriented Demonstrate oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks Must be able to work any shift Desire to work hard.

Minimum
Qualifications:
Valid Florida Drivers License and clean driving record Associates or Bachelors Degree in Science/Engineering related field or will accept an equivalent combination or experience and/or education Experience with computer software-Lotus, Excel, and Word Ability to obtain Florida Department of Transportation Field Aggregate Testing Certification Must be able to pass a drug test and pre-employment physical Physical Requirements Requires walking, siting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree Heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but not limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling controls.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
